It's Championship Saturday for college football today, and that means that there's all sorts of space in the schedule for college basketball to start taking over. To that end, we get 20 games with a national broadcast this week. We have a "new addition" to our definition of "national broadcast" starting here, as I just recently discovered that I get SEC Network as part of the non-premium sports tier of channels that I get on my cable package. With that being the case now, I'm going to start including any games on the SEC Network on our weekly list.
Based on ratings alone, the headline act of this week's particular set of games is Arizona at Gonzaga, since that's a game between two ranked opponents. But let's be honest: the real main event is the noon tipoff between Syracuse and Georgetown since that's the first time the two have met since The Greatest Conference In History fell apart because Syracuse and Pitt went chasing dollar signs.
As always, all times listed are Central time, and if you find something on a non-national channel in your area, pipe up in the comments so everyone can enjoy the commotion.
