On Thursday morning, Nike announced the rosters for the Jordan Brand Classic. To no one's surprise, Rice Lake's Henry Ellenson was included on the 13 man East Team roster. It's the second national all-star game roster for Ellenson, who was included on the McDonald's All-American Game roster back on January 28th.
The 26 players named to the game include seven of the top 10 players on the 247 Sports Composite rankings, and 25 of the 26 players are in the Composite Top 50. Ellenson is one of two players on the list committed to play for a Big East school next year, as he'll be joined on the East roster by Villanova signee Jalen Brunson. The SEC leads all conferences with six committed players for next fall, with the ACC (4), Big Ten (3), and Pac12 (2) joining the parade of leagues with multiple recruits involved in the game. There are seven players, though, that have yet to indicate a college preference.
One odd side note: Ellenson is the only player involved in the game that will be attending a school that wears Jordan Brand gear. North Carolina, California, and Georgetown are not included in the colleges currently listed by the 26 players.
The Jordan Brand Classic will be played on April 17th, 2015, at 7pm Central. The Barclays Center in Brooklyn will be the site of the event, which will be televised on ESPN2. You can check out the full rosters right here.
