3.9.15 Championship "Week" Update

New, 5 comments

Three more title games, plus the start of #MACtion, and the MEAC joins the party.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

So, this happened in the Colonial Athletic Association semifinals last night:

That's Daniel Dixon burying a feed from Marcus Thornton to push the Tribe to a double overtime win over Hofstra.  Beyond the fact that this is ONIONS all over the place, it's also pretty damn fantastic because W&M has NEVER made the NCAA tournament.  They came very, very, very close last year when they threw away a six point lead late in the CAA title game, but now they're back to face Northeastern.

We have to say congratulations to Coastal Carolina, North Florida, and Northern Iowa, all of whom claimed their leagues' automatic bids yesterday.  Today, in addition to the CAA final, we also have the MAAC final (which should be amazing) and the SoCon final.  If that's not enough to sate your thirst, there's always the start of #MACtion, although you'll have to use various streaming options to catch it.

All times are Central, and remember to enjoy your March Madness responsibly.
