Marquette At The NBA Las Vegas Summer League: 7/14/15

This is quickly turning into a very lackluster Summer League year for Marquette.

New York 76, LA Lakers 66: So, cards on the table time, right?  This game was closer than it had any business being.

The Knicks took a 6-0 lead in the first two minutes and change en route to having a 19-5 lead after the opening period.  The Lakers bounced back to outscore NY by nine in the second frame to cut the lead to five at the break, and Julius Randle found Jordan Clarkson for the opening bucket of the second half to make it just a two point game.  A pair of Tarik Black free throws less than a minute later made it just a one point margin, but that's the best that the Lakers could do in this one.

Jabari Brown's 20 points off the bench for LA was a game high, and quite easily at that, as no one else got more than 13 points.  Cleanthony Early and Langston Galloway both had 13 points and nine rebounds for the victorious Knicks.

Dwight Buycks came off the bench for just under 13 minutes of action.  He contributed a pair of free throws, four rebounds, and an assist in his outing.
