The NBA & The Milwaukee Bucks Announced The 2015-16 Schedule

And, I have to say, it looks awfully nice for Marquette and Saturday home games.

Back on August 12, the NBA announced the 2015-16 schedule.  More importantly for Marquette basketball fans, this means that we know the schedule of home games for the Milwaukee Bucks.

I don't want to overexcite you, but if I'm reading the schedule correctly, and I think I am, but the Bucks are playing one Saturday home game in January, February, and the first week of March.  Not Saturday night home game, one Saturday home game AT ALL.

Why am I only looking at that time period?  Well, we already know the Marquette schedule for all of November and December, so there's no point in worrying about that any more.  We don't know the Big East schedule yet, though, and all of those games are being played in January, February, and the first week of March.  Across those 10 Saturdays, there's just one Bucks home game, when they host the Detroit Pistons on February 27 at 7:30pm.

Things are certainly looking nice for Marquette to play a home game on a Saturday at whatever time best works for Fox Sports.

A glance at the official Bradley Center website does block out a few Saturdays.  The BC is hosting Monster Jam 2016 on January 22 & 23, but that's also the first Saturday of the spring semester, which means the traditional Snowball dance.  Marquette has played a road game on that Saturday for the last several years anyway, so that's no loss.  Disney On Ice comes to Milwaukee on February 4-7, so that likely takes February 6th off the table.

That leaves seven open Saturdays for your Golden Eagles.  There is still the AHL schedule left to contend with, but the Admirals only played five Saturday games during all four months of the Marquette schedule last season.
