Jamie Kutey knocked in her first ever collegiate goal in the 75th minute to give Marquette the 2-1 win over Northern Arizona in the second match of the Marquette Invitational.

Kutey snared a Meegan Johnston cross out of mid-air for a Coco Navarro Special that crossed up NAU keeper Natalie Gilbertson something fierce as Kutey went far post with her shot.  The goal from the freshman from Overland Park, Kansas, was a culmination of a domination by the Golden Eagles, as they outshot the Lumberjacks 25-7 by the final horn.

Marquette got the scoring underway in this one in the 20th minute off an Ann Marie Lynch deep cross.  For a moment, it looked like MU wasn't going to be able to do anything with it as it went past two Golden Eagles who were out of position to anything with the rolling ball.  But Caroline Fink was on the far side of the 18 yard box, and she put together the soccer equivalent of a stepback jumper, and snapped a shot into the far side of the net.

NAU leveled the match at one each in the 25th minute after Marquette was whistled for a foul just barely outside the top of the 18 yard box.  Haley Wingender lined up for the free kick, and put it just right of the MU wall and in between the right post and a diving Amanda Engel for her fifth goal of the season.
