We start picking up steam heading towards Selection Sunday....

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

We've got two games today between two ranked squads, and they're both out of the Big 12.  Later on today, we've got #24 Texas visiting #14 Iowa State, but let's be honest: no one cares about that game.  College Gameday is in Norman, OK, because today is the rematch of that BONKERS triple overtime game between Oklahoma and Kansas.  They aren't #1/#2 any more, but #3/#6 is nothing to sneeze at, either.

All told, there's 35 games with a national broadcast hitting the airwaves today, with 15 of them involving at least one ranked team.  The most important game of the day might be the very bottom one on our table, with Gonzaga visiting SMU.  Obviously, the Mustangs can't participate in the postseason this year due to the Keith Frazier mess, but they can absolutely play spoiler to the Zags' chances of snagging an at large bid.  Chris Dobbertean, SB Nation's resident bracketologist, has Gonzaga sitting at #37 on his seed list, just a scant eight teams between them and missing the tournament.  Beating SMU would certainly solidify GU's spot in the field, while a loss would make things very awkward if they can't beat Saint Mary's or BYU later this season.

As always, if you find something awesome with a local broadcast, let everyone know so we can all participate in the mindboggling fun.
