Getting down to the nitty gritty here, kids.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

We jump off FAST today with a game with two ranked teams is in the 11am window.  Duke/Louisville is the first of five games between two ranked teams today, and you can watch hoops straight through til after 5pm today watching nothing but two ranked teams playing: 11am, noon, 1pm, 3pm.  If only Texas A&M was still ranked, then the Aggies hosting #14 Kentucky would bridge you over to the Purdue/Indiana game at 7:30pm.

There are 12 games featuring a ranked team on the schedule today, but the one that's the most interesting to Marquette fans will be Butler visiting #1 Villanova.  If the Wildcats win, they will be the #1 team in the country when they come to Milwaukee for National Marquette Day one week from today.  If that happens, it'll be the first time since 2000 that MU has hosted the #1 team in the country.

If you're focused on NCAA tournament ramifications, one of the late games has a lot of interesting potential, and it's usually one of the more fun games of the season anyway.  Saint Mary's is at Gonzaga tonight, and there's a lot on the line here.  The Zags are leading the West Coast Conference right now, but they are 1-4 against the KenPom top 50 (SMC is currently #47) and 3-6 against the top 100.  If Gonzaga gets swept by Saint Mary's, there is a case to be made that Gonzaga will not make the NCAA tournament without the WCC's automatic bid.

As always, if you find something interesting that's not on a national broadcast, be sure to pipe up in the comments so everyone can catch it.
