1) Schedule of Events
Friday:
5pm Central: Marquette women's lacrosse vs California at Valley Fields. It's the home opener, faculty & staff get in for free, & the first 50 students in attendance get free Marquette sweatpants!
6pm Central: National Marquette Day Pep Rally! It's in the parking lot across from the Al McGuire Center and it'll be hosted by Danny Pudi. It's FREE, but they'd like you to register for it if you're going. Hot chocolate, s'mores, vegetarian chili (it's Lent, remember), and capped off with fireworks off the top of the Wells Street Structure at 7pm. First 500 people to show up get a free MU winter hat!
Saturday:
11am Central: Marquette men's lacrosse at Richmond. For those of you in Virginia, may I suggest zipping on over to cheer for the Golden Eagles against the Spiders?
1pm Central: Marquette men's basketball vs #1 Villanova at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The main event of the weekend, obviously. I hope you already have a ticket, because it's pretty much sold out.
5pm Central: Marquette women's basketball vs #19 DePaul at the Al McGuire Center. It's the regular season finale for Coach Kieger's crew, and if you save your ticket from the men's game, you get in for free! It's Fan Appreciation Day, and everyone in attendance will have a chance to win Marquette apparel, gift cards, 2016-17 tickets and more!
Sunday:
1pm Central: Marquette women's lacrosse vs Colorado at Valley Fields. First 50 students in attendance get a MU fleece blanket, and tickets are just $2 if you're wearing a lacrosse jersey of some kind.

It's only going to look as awesome if everybody possible does this, so hold up your end and tell all your friends, too.
3) Things To Be Aware Of
- Henry Ellenson needs six points to break Dominic James' Marquette freshman scoring record of 473 points, set in 2005-06.
- The men's team will have four major recruits at their game: 2016 4 star small forward Sam Hauser, who is already signed to play next season; 2017 4 star point guard Markus Howard, who might reclassify to 2016; 2018 4 star power forward Joey Hauser, who is also Sam's little (big?) brother); and 2018 3 star shooting guard Tyler Herro. All four are top 100 recruits in their respective classes, with Howard and the younger Hauser turning up in the top 40.
- Allazia Blockton needs 15 points to break the Big East freshman scoring record of 528 points, set in 1994-95 by Providence's Kerri Chatten.
4) Where To Go To Celebrate National Marquette Day
Looking for pregame events in Milwaukee? Here's a list for you.
Looking for game watching parties elsewhere in the world (and yes, I do mean the world)? Here's a probably not complete list of places to go. Got a regular MU bar that you frequent? I'm sure they'll be happy to see you on Saturday, too.
