D'Angelo Russell tells ESPN he "played like sh*t!!" https://t.co/5NT8v6MHeK
J.A. Adande’s “BRUH” reaction is spectacular.
Russell had 22 points, four rebounds, and five assists in the game, but shot 8-20, so that’s probably largely why he was critical of his outing. Los Angeles had to make up a six point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter in order to pull off the win, but that’s less impressive than the fact that they were down 16 midway through the third.
Jamil Wilson came off the bench for 22 minutes of burn here, scoring three points (1-3 from long range), along with two rebounds and a steal.
Mavericks 83, Heat 64 - Your end of quarter leads by the Mavs: 4, 3, 6, 19. WOOOOOOSH. Jonathan Gibson scored a game high 30 points, including 13 straight in the fourth quarter, and he hit a triple off a turnover with three minutes left that gave Dallas a 20 point lead and pretty much ended the competitive parts of this contest.
Miami was outstanding from long range, shooting 43% from behind the arc, but they shot just 32% overall in the game. Rodney McGruder led the losing team in scoring with 18 points while Justise Winslow sat this one out. Vander Blue was on the bench for Dallas after starting every game in Orlando, but didn’t play.
Without any Vander highlights to talk about, enjoy this interview he did with Basketball Insiders about what he brought to the Orlando version of Dallas in Summer League.
Both Dallas and Los Angeles have Sunday off.
