Magic White 92, Dallas 85 - Vander Blue’s game high 23 points weren’t enough to counter-act six Orlando players in double digits as one of the two home teams took the narrow victory. Magic White built an eight point lead after the end of the first quarter and it drifted as high as 16 in the second before settling at nine at the half. Dallas managed to claw one point back in each of the final two quarters, but that was about it.
Blue had a pretty good shooting day, going 7-13 overall and 2-5 from long range. He added a rebound and two steals, but also committed four fouls and four turnovers.
Pistons 73, Magic Blue 68 - With a chance to win late, Devyn Marble stepped out of bounds to give the ball back to Detroit and a pair of free throws from Lorenzo Brown moved the lead back to three and two more from Tekele Cotton with three seconds left iced the game.
While he started and played more than 30 minutes, this game was pretty much the nightmare scenario of anyone who wants to see Henry Ellenson succeed in the NBA. He went 2-11 overall, but six of those misses came on his six attempts from behind the long range arc. Yeah. He finished with 10 points, and added seven rebounds.
