Your Saturday College Basketball Viewing Guide & Open Thread: January 28, 2017

Nice little day of basketball setting up for us.

The big news of the day is the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. I do have to say that I like that both conferences carved out a spot in their conference schedules to allow for this event to take place. That inter-conference event is also responsible for the only game of the day between two ranked teams, as Kansas head to Rupp Arena to face Kentucky, which would be a main event in any city in the country.

There’s 11 other games on national television today with a ranked team involved, and if that seems maybe a little low, there’s a reason for that. With no NFL football on Sunday, there’s seven ranked teams playing on an otherwise unoccupied Sunday afternoon. The good news about the schedule spreading out across the weekend is that we get a few games on TV that maybe wouldn’t make it into a national spot next week.

There’s always a bunch of stuff on a digital broadcast, so be sure to shout it out in the comments if you latch on to something interesting!
