Your College Football Saturday Viewing Guide: October 7, 2017

Is it just me or is this slate of games kind of lackluster? Needs some good old fashioned hate, I think.

19 of the top 25 teams are in action in a nationally televised game today, but somehow, it just doesn’t feel like an action packed lineup.

The best game of the day is probably #23 West Virginia at #8 TCU, but that’s kind of by default. It’s the only game between two ranked teams on a big broadcast, and that’s probably the explanation for the lackluster feel to the schedule. There are 10 other ranked teams other than the ‘Eers on the road today, so there is that to look forward to today. However, one of those ranked teams is UCF and another is San Diego State. I didn’t even realize they were ranked!

A lot of those ranked road teams aren’t exactly facing powerhouses, either. Maybe the toughest host is Northwestern bringing Penn State into Evanston. I’d like to say nice things about Nebraska given who they’re hosting in Lincoln, but I don’t want to, so you can’t make me.

Here’s your schedule of events for the day.....
