Hello, and welcome back to College Basketball Saturday, the best kind of Saturday.
Today, we’ve got 27 college basketball games with a national television broadcast, which is pretty great. Of course, the highlight for Marquette fans like you and me is the Golden Eagles’ trip west on I-94 to face Wisconsin, but there’s a lot of other good stuff out there.
The actual best game of the day is probably #5 Florida playing #17 Cincinnati at the Prudential Center in New Jersey as part of the Never Forget Tribute Classic. However, that game has taken a bit of a hit over the past few weeks as the Gators have lost three straight games since defeating Gonzaga in double overtime in the PK80 semifinals.
There’s a lot of ranked teams on the road today. #6 Wichita State visits Oklahoma State, #14 Minnesota is down in Fayetteville to play Arkansas, #18 West Virginia renews their rivalry with Pittsburgh, and in the oddest game of the day, #9 Notre Dame visiting Delaware. Why is Mike Brey going on the road against his former employers? Well, The Athletic’s Brian Hamilton asked, and it turns out the answer is graft! Neat.
