You can tell college basketball is kicking into high gear when there are 17 ranked teams in action on national television on Saturday.
The highlight of the day is Kansas Jayhawks traveling down to Waco to face Baylor Bears with the possibility of all but clinching the Big 12 regular season title. Both teams are on target to be #1 seeds in the NCAA tournament right now, so the game very much has a Final Four Preview aspect to it. I could try and pretend that Virginia at North Carolina is a big time game, but that would involve encouraging you to watch Cavaliers basketball and I’m not a sadist.
Also on the schedule today is, of course, the National Marquette Day game against Xavier. We’ll just say that there’s a lot of postseason implications involved in that game and move on.
I know the list of events every Saturday is usually limited to the nationally televised men’s college basketball game, but I’ve included two other items today. First up is Marquette men’s lacrosse kicking off the 2017 season on a trip to visit Jacksonville, which is available on WatchESPN, and then, one hour later, Marquette women’s lacrosse hosts #17 Johns Hopkins in the Valley Fields Bubble. That one’s available on a free stream right off the Marquette athletics website, because we live in America, dammit.
As always, there’s a bunch more to watch on digital outlets, so if you find something worth a watch, shout it out in the comments.
