After three long seasons in the postseason wilderness, Marquette Golden Eagles are back in the NCAA tournament, earning an at-large bid the 2017 national championship field.
Greg Gumbel announced MU’s entry on CBS on Sunday evening, declaring that the Golden Eagles are a #10 seed in the bracket and heading off to Greenville, South Carolina to play #7 seed South Carolina Gamecocks in the first round. The winner of that game will advance to the second round for a game against either #2 Duke or #15 Troy. Coach K vs Wojo in the second round, anyone?
Now that the bracket is officially out, CBS and Turner Sports get to figure out the television schedule, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
