2017 Championship “Week” Update: March 3

Murray State continues their ridiculous romp through the Ohio Valley tournament after last night’s 75-69 win over Morehead State. Jonathan Stark played all 40 minutes - again - and scored 37 points thanks to 7-of-13 shooting from behind the arc to propel the Racers into the OVC semifinals.

The Big South tournament went completely sideways yesterday with the #2 and #3 seeds getting knocked out. Sadly, Radford and Campbell have to play each other in the semifinals, so we won’t get a completely ridiculous title game there. Only half ridiculous.

Things kick into high gear today with the start of the CAA, Horizon League, SoCon, and West Coast tournaments. That’s a lot of basketball! Because these leagues are doing their top seeds a favor and giving them byes into the later rounds, only the Missouri Valley gives us DAYTIME BASKETBALL today.
