One of the fun parts about The Basketball Tournament is the care and thought that goes into the presentation of everything. The bracket in every building that looks like the All-Valley Karate Tournament bracket (as seen above) is fantastic, and it’s nice to see TBT’s management put effort into logos and uniforms for every squad.
On Wednesday, TBT officially unveiled the uniforms for this year’s event for the 60 squads that have already made into the field. Here’s what Golden Eagles, the team of Marquette alumni, will be wearing.

As you can see, it’s a little bit of a change from last year’s gear. It still has the numbers stacked over the team name in homage to the 1977 championship jerseys, but this time around, the two words are stacked up as well. That should allow for a bigger font size which plays better on TV, so that makes sense.
Gone altogether are the arrowheads on the sides of the jerseys and the blue & white stripe down the sides of the shorts. The shorts now have the familiar blue and gold striping down the sides, and the same striping is on the edges of the arm and head holes on the jerseys.
Ever so slightly different, but still pretty great, at least in my opinion.
As was the case last year when they had white tops and gold shorts along with an all-blue kit, Golden Eagles will have some options when it comes to uniforms. There’s a white version of the uniform with a nifty gold border on the lettering and numbering.
