In the past, we’ve documented Marquette head men’s basketball coach Steve Wojciechowski’s ruthlessness when it comes to playing 1-on-1 with small children at Marquette’s annual youth camps.
Well, finally we’ve found a kid capable of beating the former collegiate Defensive Player Of The Year.
First, the opening segment of video of Vinny from the Duke team at camp taking a 1-0 lead before Wojo ratchets up the intensity to knot it at 1-all.

They appear to be playing make it/take it rules, so it’s unclear how Wojo ends up turning the ball over to Vinny. In any case, Vinny gets the ball and drains this beaut of an elbow J to beat Wojo 2-1.

The court storm is fantastic enough, but the other campers hoisted Vinny up and bounced him around a bit to celebrate.

No word as to whether this means that the kids get an extra ice cream truck visit as they have been getting because of Matt Heldt’s proficiency at draining half court shots.
Better luck next time, Coach!
