All three NBA Las Vegas Summer League teams with former Marquette Golden Eagles players - Atlanta Hawks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Los Angeles Lakers - wrapped up their opening round action before Tuesday night, so we have no games to recap from yesterday.
Wednesday marks the start of tournament play, and we do have two of the above teams listed in action. Trent Lockett’s Hawks squad earned the #9 seed in the tournament, the first spot to not earn a bye to the second round, and they’ll play the New Orleans Pelicans, the last place team today. Down on the other end of the bracket, the Lakers and Vander Blue were slotted into the field as the #15 seed, which means they’ll play the Philadelphia 76ers today. Jamil Wilson and the Clippers were awarded the #5 seed, and as a top 8 seed, they get a bye to the second round. They’ll play the winner of Washington and Miami tomorrow.
