It’s July, so that means we’re deep into the summer recruiting period, and that means it’s about time for news of Marquette scholarship offers to come rolling in. In this case, it was an offer to Class of 2019 power forward E.J. Liddell on Friday.

According to his 247 Sports page, Liddell stands 6’7” tall and weighs 220 pounds. The Illinois native is marked as a four-star prospect by the 247 Composite system, but he’s ranked #205 in the country in the class of 2019 at the moment. 247’s internal system ranks Liddell much higher at #142, but he’s only a three-star prospect from that point of view. He averaged nearly 20 points a game this past season and a bit over seven rebounds as well.
As a class of 2019 prospect, Liddell just finished up his sophomore year of high school and is still well over a year away from being able to sign a national letter of intent. He joins a crowded crop of 2019 players that have offers from Marquette already, including Wisconsin native Nobal Days.
Marquette is looking at having two open scholarships in the fall of 2019. Here’s how the scholarship situation shakes out for the future.
