30 games of nationally televised goodness getting piped straight into your brain pan on this fine Saturday. That’s some good broadcasting. And think! There’d be even more hoops on TV if it wasn’t for ESPN’s NFL contract granting them the rights to one playoff game every year.
Lousy NFL, ruining everything.
We’ve got 12 games with at least one ranked team participating, which is pretty solid. Four of those games involve two ranked teams, and that’s pretty great. The first one of the day is North Carolina making the trek north to tangle with Virginia, and even though those are two top 15 teams, that’s not the best game of the day. That honor belongs to Oklahoma traveling those country roads to get to Morgantown to face West Virginia. Two top 10 teams AND Trae Young tangling with Press Virginia? HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE THAT??
The final two games with two ranked teams will be going up against each other in the late hours of the day. Kentucky takes their show one state south to play Tennessee, while Kansas doesn’t catch a break after getting poleaxed by Texas Tech and will have to visit TCU.
Elsewheres, Xavier puts their 10 game winning streak on the line on a trip to Providence, Seton Hall looks to stay unbeaten in conference action while visiting Butler, Arkansas tangles with Auburn, Duke faces off with local rival NC State, and Gonzaga heads to Los Angeles to see Loyola Marymount. Those are just the games with ranked teams on the road, and thus primed for an upset!
As always, if you catch something bananas happening on a streaming broadcast, pipe up in the comments so people can watch it!
Here’s the slate!
