Your College Football Saturday Viewing Guide: October 27, 2018

BLOOD WEEK COMIN’?

NCAA Football: Northwestern at Illinois Mike Granse-USA TODAY Sports

Guys.

It’s a weakass schedule of college football today, at least in terms of tippy top teams playing. The #1, #4, and #5 teams in the country are all inactive, not to mention #10, #11, and #13. That takes a big chunk of excitement out of the whole thing, y’know?

Here’s the good news.

There are 13 games on national television today that include a ranked team. TWELVE of those games have a ranked team playing away from home. That is an amazing level of possible total insanity. Imagine the rankings disaster that would occur if even six of those teams lose!

The highlight game of the day is appears to be #9 Florida and #7 Georgia squaring off in Jacksonville. Two top 10 teams at a neutral site? NEAT. The sub-main event would have to be #18 Iowa visiting #17 Penn State. This is the rare case where a ranked team is going on the road, but it wouldn’t be an upset if they lose for obvious reasons.

Here’s your College Football Anarchy Rooting Guide for the day. It’s pretty short.

Florida State vs #2 Clemson
Navy vs #3 Notre Dame

That’s it. We’re only focused on the top five here. If you want to cheer for Oklahoma State against #6 Texas, I’m certainly not stopping you because it is INSANE that the Longhorns are ranked that high. THEY LOST TO MARYLAND.

Here’s the schedule for the day! Enjoy!
