Your College Basketball Saturday Viewing Guide: December 29, 2018

Kind of a quiet day on ye olde calendar

Well, thanks to the College Football Playoffs and their Coaches Room simulcasts, things are a little sparse around here for college basketball to be watched today. Not only are there only 16 games on national television thanks to football occupying nine-ish hours on the ESPN family of networks, but the games that are on the board aren’t particularly interesting.

Sure, you’ve got Kentucky visiting Louisville, and that could be a hoot. Wisconsin is inexplicably visiting Western Kentucky, and while the Badgers are favored, Charles Bassey is a better basketball player than anyone on UW’s roster.

The game I’m most interested in watching today isn’t even on national television for some reason. That’s St. John’s visiting Seton Hall in the first Big East league game for both sides. Seton Hall has been better than expected this season, while St. John’s is undefeated but has been unremarkable while winning their first 12 games. That one’s on your local Fox Sports Network affiliates if you’re lucky, so keep your eyes open for that.

Here’s the schedule to keep you busy today while Clemson and Alabama are predictably wrecking shop and turning the football into an unwatchable mess.
