Your College Basketball Saturday Viewing Guide: February 10, 2018

Ready? Here’s the monster game rundown for today.

Monster Game #1: Butler Bulldogs at #1 Villanova Wildcats. First, it’s a revenge game for the Wildcats, who lost at Hinkle Fieldhouse earlier this season. Second, as a result of that previous game, you know that Butler believes that they can win in Wells Fargo Center. Third, VU is coming off their ever so slightly humiliating loss to previously 0-11 St. John’s.

Monster Game #2: #3 Purdue Boilermakers at #4 Michigan State Spartans. It’s the only time these two teams will cross swords in the regular season. Purdue suffered their first loss of Big Ten play in their most recent game, falling at home to Ohio State. Now they have to travel to East Lansing with a hope of rebounding from that defeat and try to keep pace with the Buckeyes for the lead in the league over....... third place Michigan State, who is riding a seven game winning streak.

Monster Game #3: #12 Gonzaga Bulldogs at #11 Saint Mary’s Gaels. SMC is 13-0 in West Coast Conference action. Gonzaga is 12-1. Guess who the loss is against. Yep, the Gaels. This one’s in Moraga, which means Saint Mary’s already got the win in the Kennel. They’re going for the season sweep of the Zags and looking to extend their winning streak to 20 games.

On top of that, we’ve got #5 Xavier, #7 Texas Tech, #8 Auburn, #10 Kansas, #15 Tennessee, and #17 Oklahoma all going out on the road against unranked opponents in nationally televised contests. At least one team is taking an L here. That’s just the law.
