A very happy National Marquette Day to you and yours, everyone.
We’ve got 15 games with a ranked team on the slate for the day, but no games with two ranked teams facing off. A couple of these games are probably going to be horrible: Cincinnati at Connecticut, Duke at St. John’s, and Georgetown at Xavier jump off the page as “Do Not Watch” specials.
There are a couple of games that do have an impact on Marquette on a national broadcast today. Purdue tries to avoid a RAC Attack on a visit to Rutgers in the mid-afternoon slot, while Georgia goes on the road to face off with Mississippi State in Starkville. Marquette could definitely use both teams to score the W on the road to help boost the ol’ non-conference strength of schedule.
