NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Texas vs Nevada
Look, I’m cheering for Loyola-Chicago, but I used their mascot last week.
Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Hello, NCAA tournament insanity. I’ve missed you so.

Four games on the docket this evening as we begin the process of trimming the Sweet Sixteen down to the Elite Eight. We’re dealing with the crazier half of the bracket today, as five of the eight teams in action fall below the #4 seed mark that qualifies as “minimum seed expectation” for the Sweet 16.

As far as Marquette/Big East cheering interests go, we have Texas A&M and Duane Wilson taking on Michigan. Wilson, of course, is done for the year with a knee injury, but it would still be pretty neat to see his team advance another round. If you’re of a revenge mindset, Kansas State plays Kentucky, and of course, the more Western Wildcats knocked Creighton out of the field in the first round. At the same time as that game, Florida State goes against Gonzaga, and the Seminoles are responsible for putting Xavier out of the tournament in the round of 32.

Either way, it’s a nice doubleheader of high stakes hoops action on the ol’ TV tonight, and there’s even backup games in case one turns into a blowout.

If you find yourself away from a television and in need of streaming options, there’s always March Madness Live, but don’t forget about Hulu, CBS All Access, or Fubo.

All times Central.
