Kind of a weird day of hoops yesterday, wasn’t it? Kansas and Duke fended off late rallies from Clemson and Syracuse, respectively. Villanova, specifically Omari Spellman, went HAM against West Virginia, and Texas Tech put an end to Purdue’s season long before anyone really wanted it to be over.
Here’s what I mean about Spellman.
DO WE HAVE TO SPELL-MAN OUT FOR YOU?!?!

BLOCK + SLAM as Villanova takes a 65-60 lead! #MarchMadness #Sweet16 pic.twitter.com/Jx54UnSHkr
Yow.
As great as Villanova’s win is/was, Mikal Bridges took the L to end all L’s during the game last night.

That is Sagaba Konate, and that is not fair.
For a full rundown of all of the highlights and things you gotta know about last night’s games, be sure to check out the recap/review from our SB Nation overlords.
I don’t really have a cheering angle of any kind for tonight’s regional finals for you. It would be super to see Loyola-Chicago get their way to the Final Four, so I guess that counts as a rooting interest. In terms of Marquette-related news, Harry Froling is going to pursue professional opportunities, presumably back in his native Australia.
If you find yourself away from a television and in need of streaming options, there’s always March Madness Live, but don’t forget about Hulu, CBS All Access, or Fubo.
All times Central.
