Your College Football Saturday Viewing Guide: September 29, 2018

When Notre Dame is involved in the probable most important game of the day, it’s probably a subpar schedule.

We’ve got 18 games with at least one ranked team on national television today, so that seems pretty good. Five of those games have two ranked teams matched up against each other, and that seems pretty good, too.

The only bummer of having five of those games on tap today is that three of them will all be going on at the same time when BYU and Washington kick off at 7:30pm tonight. The other two in that window are the candidates for the most important game of the day, at least heading into the start of action. With 6:30pm Central kickoff times, we’ve got #4 vs #9 in Ohio State at Penn State and #7 vs #8 with Stanford at Notre Dame.

The other two ranked team games are on opposite ends of the schedule. #12 West Virginia at #25 Texas Tech gives us the day’s first major matchup in the 11am window, while #19 Oregon‘s trip to #24 California gets the FS1 treatment on a 9:30pm CT start time.

Outside of those contests, there’s only two other ranked teams on the road in a nationally televised game today: #18 Texas and #14 Michigan. I would estimate that they’re still favored against Kansas State and Northwestern respectively, but hey: weirder things have happened.

Here’s your official College Football Anarchy cheering guide for the day:

Louisiana-Lafayette at #1 Alabama
Tennessee at #2 Georgia
Syracuse at #3 Clemson
#9 Penn State vs #4 Ohio State
Ole Miss at #5 LSU

Here’s the national television schedule for the day! Enjoy!
