Your College Football Saturday Viewing Guide: October 12, 2019

Lotta good games out there today.

We’ve got 31 games with a national television broadcast going on today. 14 of them — nearly half! — have a ranked team involved. Seven of them have a ranked team on the road. Four of them have a top 10 team on the road.

That’s pretty great stuff!

The big game of the day comes in the SEC, I think, with #7 Florida going on the road to square off with #5 LSU. That comes at you in the late window. Right off the bat, we get the Red River Showdown, as #6 Oklahoma and #11 Texas collide at the Cotton Bowl.

In the middle of all of that, #1 Alabama makes their way to College Station for an SEC matchup against #24 Texas A&M. I don’t expect the Aggies to win, so I don’t really consider this to be a big game today. Is that an attempt at reverse jinxing Nick Saban? YOU DECIDE.

There’s also #10 Penn State going on the road against #18 Iowa, and that sounds an awful lot like it’s time for Iowa’s yearly incursion into absolutely ruining someone else’s season with a hilariously lopsided victory.

Here’s your College Football Anarchy rooting guide for the day:

#24 Texas A&M vs #1 Alabama
Florida State at #2 Clemson
South Carolina at #3 Georgia
#7 Florida at #5 LSU Tigers

These all seem like perfectly within the realm of possibility. Co-#3 Ohio State is off this week, probably because they’re lazy.

Here’s the full national television rundown for today. Enjoy!
