Your College Basketball Saturday Viewing Guide: February 2, 2019

Hey, no Marquette game to watch today, so just let the schedule wash over you.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Florida vs. St. Bonaventure Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

With Marquette not playing again until Tuesday, we’re free to cheer for or against whatever we want today. Since the Golden Eagles won their road game at Butler while ranked #10 in the country, one of the biggest things we’re cheering for is another top 10 team losing to help tighten up MU’s spot as a top 10 team.

Thus, here’s the full rundown of who you should be cheering for today.

Texas A&M vs #1 Tennessee
St. John’s at #2 Duke
Miami at #3 Virginia
San Diego at #4 Gonzaga
Indiana at #6 Michigan State
Florida vs #7 Kentucky
Boise State at #8 Nevada
#15 Louisville vs #9 North Carolina

That’s a lot of top 10 teams! Michigan is the only other top 10 team not playing today, and they played on the road against Iowa last night. Well, last night as you’re reading this. It’s tomorrow night as I’m typing this, and now you understand how the sausage is made.

Not all of those games are on national television, though, but it’s worth keeping an eye on all of those games, as they’re somewhat relevant to Marquette.

In terms of the national television schedule, we’ve got five ranked teams on the road today. Two of those games involve a ranked team as the hosting team. One is the North Carolina/Louisville game mentioned above, and the other one is #16 Texas Tech hitting the road to try to find a way to win in Allen Fieldhouse as they visit #11 Kansas. We can probably chalk that one up as important to Marquette’s status as a top 10 team as well, if you think about it.

Here’s the full national television schedule for the day! Enjoy!
