The 2018-19 Big East men’s basketball regular season is now over and the 2019 Big East tournament bracket is set and ready to go!
Here’s what it looks like:

Marquette is the #2 seed in the field, even though the Golden Eagles lost their final four games of the regular season. Only Villanova and Marquette finished league play with a record over .500, which is how we ended up with those two as the top two seeds. Marquette continues their streak of making it to at least the quarterfinals in every single Big East tournament since joining the league, as they will start play in that round this year. They will play at 6pm Central on Thursday against either #7 seed St. John’s or #10 seed DePaul, who will play at 8:30pm CT on Wednesday night to decide who advances to face MU. For whatever it’s worth to you, DePaul swept the season series against St. John’s, while Marquette went 0-2 against the Red Storm and 2-0 against DePaul.
The winner of Marquette’s quarterfinal game will advance to play either Georgetown or Seton Hall in the semifinals. I think it’s safe to say that if MU finds themselves in the semifinals, after the past week, no one is going to really be expecting the Golden Eagles to figure out a way to beat one of those two teams and advance to their first ever Big East championship game.
Then again, there’s no such thing as momentum when it comes to sports, so we’ll see what happens, I guess.
Here’s the full schedule for the Big East tournament. All games will be televised on FS1, except for the title game, which will be on Fox.
All times Central.
