2019 Championship “Week” Update: March 15

Well, yesterday certainly was fun now, wasn’t it? I don’t really care what else happened around the country, but Marquette snapped a four game losing streak, beat the only Big East team to beat them twice in the regular season, and advanced to the Big East semifinals for the first time since 2010.

What do we have going on today? Well, it’s Semifinal Friday in most of the leagues around the country, so that’s cranking up the intensity of things in general, which is nice. However, because the Atlantic 10, AAC, Big Ten, SEC, and Sun Belt are all out of their minds, we’re getting QUARTERFINALS today. They insist on having their title games on Sunday, even though the selection committee pretty much straight up admits that they don’t care about those results unless it involves a bid thief.

There’s no title games today, by the way. Oh, and REMEMBER: The Ivy League tournament hasn’t even STARTED yet because they are also playing their title game on Sunday and they only have a four team tournament.
