Your College Basketball Saturday Viewing Guide: March 9, 2019

Five conference tournament games including the Ohio Valley title game dot the schedule for the day.

It’s a weird world in the day of college basketball.

It’s the last Saturday of the regular season, but there’s only 30 games on national television today. Part of that has to do with the fact that ESPN2 is occupied with women’s conference tournament action today. Part of that has to do with the fact that there are six national TV games tomorrow that aren’t part of a conference tournament that’s already underway, so there’s just less teams available today.

Still, we’ve got 14 games on national TV that feature a ranked team, and that’s pretty good. Two of them have two ranked teams facing off: #4 Duke visiting #3 North Carolina and #7 Michigan heading to East Lansing to see #9 Michigan State.

In conference tournament action, we’ve got the Missouri Valley semifinals over on CBS Sports Network, and two West Coast Conference quarterfinal games verrrrrrry late on ESPN2. We also get the Ohio Valley Championship game in primetime on ESPN2, which is always very cool. That will be the first NCAA tournament bid handed out this year, and that’s always fun. As of this writing on Friday night, we already know it’s going to be Belmont in one half of the game, but there’s still 27 minutes left in the other side and Jacksonville State and Murray State are still locked up pretty tight.

Here’s the national television schedule for the day! Enjoy!
