Hey, Didja See We Have Start Times & TV For Almost All Of Marquette’s Scheduled Games?

When the Marquette men’s basketball schedule through Christmas was announced back on October 28th, it was just the dates and opponents for the first 10 games of the season. That’s it. No start times, no television broadcasts. Kind of a bummer all the way around for those of us who would like to attempt to make some long range plans, especially since Sinclair Broadcasting has decided to screw over streaming services in terms of regional sports providers like Fox Sports Wisconsin and there won’t be fans allowed to attend any of the home games that have been announced.

Anyway, if you were slightly worried about this kind of thing like I was, then you can stop worrying now. Back on Wednesday, Marquette officially announced the tipoff times and television providers for nine of the 10 games that are currently scheduled. The only hold out is the road trip to UCLA. That’s because Marquette and the Big East don’t have control of that game like they do for the other nine. That one is up to UCLA and the Pac-12 since it’s being played in the Bruins’ barn. It’s been a few days since the MU announcement came down, and UCLA still doesn’t have a time for us. Oh well, that’s fine....... for now.

The other good news for us is that eight of the nine games will be on FS1 while the other one — Eastern Illinois — will be on FS2. I don’t know about all of you, but that means I’m totally set to go with my Hulu subscription. There’s no games that will be on FS Wisconsin for the time being so unless you have a cable package that doesn’t have FS2, you should be pretty happy with what we’re getting here.

We are, of course, still waiting to find out about the other 16 games of the Big East schedule. As we inch closer to December 1st and then December 14th and then Christmas, the tension levels about a lack of ability to plan will start growing again. For now, though, we can relax.

Here’s the full schedule rundown for you, or you can go read the GoMarquette.com schedule page if you really want.
