GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!

All three NBA teams with former Marquette Golden Eagles men’s basketball stars have advanced to the conference semifinals in the 2020 NBA Playoffs!

BAD NEWS, EVERYONE!

By luck of the draw, we are guaranteed to lose at least one of the three teams in this round.

See, Milwaukee and Miami are facing each other in the Eastern Conference semifinals. As such, only one team can advance and thus, one of the two teams will be done for the year when the series is over.

Thankfully, there’s still a team over there in the Western Conference still alive, so our dream of a Marquette-themed NBA Finals continues.

Let’s dive right into the schedules for the two series that we’ll be watching over the next two weeks or so.

Milwaukee Bucks

Record: 56-17
Seed: #1 in the Eastern Conference
Marquette Guy: Wesley Matthews

Miami Heat

Record: 44-29
Seed: #5 in the Eastern Conference
Marquette Guys: Jimmy Butler & Jae Crowder

Here’s the schedule for the Bucks/Heat series, with just the start times on the If Necessary games still up in the air.
