WHAT? Don’t ask me, I’m not making the decisions. You would think that MUTV would be more than happy to do the broadcast. Maybe give $10 to a student to fire up their Instagram Live.

THE EXCITEMENT LEVEL: Normally we use the KenPom Thrill Score here, but it’s exhibition, so there’s none. Personally, I’m pretty stoked about being back at Fiserv Forum for the first time in 20 months.

IMPORTANT BOWIE STATE INFORMATION: This will be Bowie State’s second game of any kind since February 26, 2019. They did not play at all in the 2020-21 school year. On Monday, they went to visit Howard University and lost, 88-67, to the Bison. For comparison’s sake, KenPom.com has Howard at #273 in the preseason ratings and picks them to finish second in the MEAC.

In that game against Howard, BSU got 15 points on 4-for-9 shooting from Joshua Cornish, who also had a team high 28 minutes played. Kyree Freeman-Davis chipped in 12 points on 4-for-9 shooting in just 13 minutes off the bench. No one else scored more than six points. Tyler Jones and Kobby Ayetey both had five rebounds to lead the Bulldogs, while six assists from Ayan Teel led the way there.

There were a total of 52 personal fouls called in that game, 26 for each team. If I want one thing out of this exhibition game, it’s that no one gets hurt. If I want two things, it’s no injuries and absolutely nowhere near 62 free throws shot in 40 minutes.
