Marquette Volleyball Is Still #24 In The Country

Didn’t play, didn’t move.

Because Creighton had a COVID issue, they didn’t come to Milwaukee over the weekend, and as a result, Marquette volleyball did not play a game since the last time the AVCA released a top 25 poll. That didn’t have any effect on how the voters approached the Golden Eagles, neither positive nor negative, as they’re still the #24 team in the country.

The Golden Eagles snagged 156 points in this particular version of the poll. That has them right in between (hey, look at this) Creighton with 237 points at #23 and Missouri at #25 with 130 points. The Bluejays are the only Marquette opponent getting votes this week, as they have been for most of the season and that’s probably not changing any time soon.

Marquette returns to action on Thursday when they host Saint Louis at the McGuire Center in a non-conference bout. SLU will then play Iowa State on Friday, followed by the Golden Eagles taking a crack at the Cyclones on Saturday.
