On Monday, Shaka Smart was officially introduced as the 18th head coach of Marquette men’s basketball. Part of the official introduction was a pair of press conferences. One was live and in person at the McGuire Center, and the other was via web conference for out of town media.
If you missed either one of them, well, let me be the first to tell you that the Marquette athletics department has you in mind. Both are available on YouTube, and because we here at Anonymous Eagle love you so much, we’re putting both of them up here for you to see.
First, the in-person one, and we’re going with the 48 minute edited version instead of the 78 minute archive of the YouTube stream because that involves a lot of skipping past the generic entrance that played until everything started.
And now the web conference version!
If you’d like a written word reaction/rundown of what was said in the press conferences, you can read the Associated Press story on it as published by ESPN.com, or you can check out Ben Steele’s article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, or you can point your eyes towards Jaden Daly’s column over at Daly Dose Of Hoops.
There’s sure to be more coaching change related news coming as recruiting situations develop, so be sure to stop back here at Anonymous Eagle regularly to stay up to date.
