Carsen Murray Named Big East Offensive Player of the Week

+

Here's how the MU press release wrote it up, because it's always more detailed than the Big East press release:

Murray hit a combined .594 in the two contests with zero hitting errors and averaged 3.17 kills and 0.83 blocks per set. She totaled 19 kills and five blocks over six sets as the Golden Eagles hit .314 as a team on the East Coast. She began her weekend with seven kills and three blocks on .583 hitting in Friday's sweep of the Friars. And followed that up with 12 kills on 20 errorless swings (.600) against the Huskies, along with a pair of blocks and three assists.

In addition to Murray's honor, libero Carly Skrabak was named to the Weekly Honor Roll. Here's the MU writeup:

Skrabak averaged 5.17 digs per set in the two matches and notched team bests of 19 digs at Providence and 12 digs at UConn. She currently sits fourth in the BIG EAST in digs per set (4.45) and has previously earned BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week twice this season.
