Garcia Named Attacker OTW; Nixon Named DPOTW

Here's what the Big East said about Marquette's Shea Garcia:

In a 1-0 week for Marquette, Garcia totaled five points off four goals and one assist in a 12-9 win against then-No. 24 Connecticut. The Golden Eagles’ win over the Huskies is their second top-25 victory in program history and first of this season. The senior attacker currently ranks second in the BIG EAST in goals per game (3.08) and third in total goals (40).

And here's what they wrote up about goalie Brynna Nixon:

Nixon had a career-high 14 saves in the Golden Eagles win over UConn. The sophomore goalkeeper had a .609 save percentage on 36 shots faced and only allowed nine goals. She also added four ground balls in the win. After last week’s game, Nixon has surpassed the 100-save mark for the season with 112.
