Men's Soccer loses 6-2

Yeah, look. I'm not writing a recap of this insane mess of a match. I didn't go because of impending thunderstorms and I didn't watch after MU was down 3-1 after 27 minutes because the WNBA Finals was on. So here's the official MU recap if you're so interested. St. John's in the Valley on Friday.

Allie Barber named Big East Player of the Week

+

Breaking news: Marquette volleyball's leading attacker is good at volleyball.

Here's what the league office said about her: "Allie Barber led the then-No. 7 Golden Eagles to a 2-1 weekend at the 2019 Redbird Classic. The BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year led the conference in kills per set at 4.87 and is second in points at 4.93. The senior posted 20+ kills in all three of Marquette’s five set matches this weekend including a season high 27 in a win against RV UCF, 21 on .348 hitting against then-No. 14 Illinois, and 25 kills in the Golden Eagles rout of Illinois State."

Josh Coan named to MSOC Weekly Honor Roll

Turns out five points in 32 minutes isn't enough for Offensive Player of the Week sometimes. If only MU had played more than one match.....

Anyway, here's what the league office said about the Marquette forward: "Coan had a five-point game in the 3-1 win over Northern Illinois on Friday night, a career best. Coan scored the first and third goals. He assisted on Connor Alba’s goal which put MU up 2-1."
